A Dramatic Leap Forward in the Half Jesse Miller crossed the finish in 1:51:00 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, a sweeping improvement from his 3:31:18 half marathon finish at the same event in 2024. His mile splits sat consistently in the 8:20s to 9:10 range through the middle of the course before he shifted into a strong closing gear. That closing gear produced his best stretch of the day: miles 12 and 13 combined for roughly a 7:38 per-mile pace, the fastest sustained running of his race. He covered this year's half marathon route at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, on a course redesigned for 2026 with net elevation gain reduced nearly 50 percent, from 384 to 203 feet, before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
