Strong Closing Miles Power a Solid Half Finish Caroline Lang completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:53:02, an 8:37 min/mile pace. This result was slower than her 2023 Boulderthon half, where she ran 1:47:27 at an 8:12 min/mile pace. Lang opened with her quickest mile of the day, an 8:13 first split, before settling into a steady mid-race rhythm that gradually eased through mile 8. Her final two miles were the standout stretch of the race: covering miles 12 and 13 in a combined 8:03 min/mile pace, well under her overall average, and finishing with a 7:56 closing mile. That late surge reflects strong finishing strength, and building more of that pace into the middle miles could be a worthwhile focus for her next half marathon.
