Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Luis Millares #27484 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pace, Strong Finishing Kick Luis Millares ran the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:50:39, holding a consistent rhythm through the field of 7,223 entrants before closing hard over the final two miles. Millares settled into an 8:34-8:44 min/mile pace through the middle miles, then dropped his fastest mile of the race between miles 12 and 13 at 7:56 min/mile a clear surge as he approached the Pearl Street Mall finish. That closing mile capped a race that trended faster mile over mile in the second half, a pattern worth building on with an even earlier push next time. The half's finish on the Mall came after a course that, at Boulder's 5,000-plus feet of elevation, tested every runner in the field the same way.
