Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Benji Schatz #21494 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pace Powers a Top-Tier Half Finish Benji Schatz crossed the line in 1:35:24 (7:17/mile), placing 230th overall and 187th among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. Schatz's mile splits stayed remarkably even throughout, hovering between 7:04 and 7:27 with no significant fade over the back half. His strongest stretch came in mile six, clocked at 7:04, the fastest of his race, as he settled into rhythm before holding form through the remaining miles. That consistency carried him to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting close to a race run at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet. With splits this uniform, Schatz has a strong pacing foundation to build from for future half marathon efforts.
