Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Cat Leonard #22799 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pace Powers a Season-Best Half Cat Leonard ran 1:34:48 to finish 215th overall and 41st among women at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, placing 4th in the F40-44 division. The result edges out her 2025 Boulderthon time of 1:36:37 and comes close to her 2024 mark of 1:35:41, marking her fastest of the three. Leonard's opening mile was her quickest at 6:55, and she held sub-7:05 pace through mile 6 before easing slightly into the middle miles, with mile 8 at 7:44 marking her slowest stretch. She closed strong, covering the final mile in 7:12 to bring her overall pace to 7:14 min/mile. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the pacing across the back half showed solid control, and there may be room to explore a more even split between miles 6 and 10 in future races.
