Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: David Pierce #26911 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Miles, Strong Finish David completed the half marathon in 1:44:48, an 8:00/mile pace, placing 530th overall and 407th among men in a field of 7,223. That marks a modest step back in pace from his 2025 Boulderthon 10K, where he ran 7:52/mile, though over roughly double the distance this time. His splits held tightly between 7:48 and 8:12 per mile through the first ten miles, showing consistent effort across the bulk of the course. A dip to 8:59 in mile 11 broke the rhythm briefly, but he responded with his fastest sustained running of the race over miles 12 and 13, covering that closing stretch at a 7:33/mile pace. The race ended on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a finish reached at just over 5,000 feet of elevation.
