Strong Finishing Kick Seals a Top-10% Result David Hansen ran 1:44:06 to finish 498th overall and 386th among men in the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, placing him in the race's top 10 percent of the field. His pace held steady through the first ten miles, hovering between 7:57 and 8:13 per mile, before he found another gear late. Miles 10 through 13 came in at roughly 7:33 per mile, capped by a 7:11 final mile, his fastest of the day. That closing surge carried him through the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a strong way to cap a half marathon run at over 5,000 feet of elevation. With such a consistent build from start to finish, Hansen might consider testing an even earlier push next time to see how much more he has in reserve.
