Strong Start Fuels a Determined Half Marathon Finish Arturo Esqueda completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 3:12:06, finishing among a field of 7,223. Esqueda's opening mile was his fastest of the day at 10:18, and he held sub-11:00 pace through mile two. From there, his mile splits gradually lengthened, settling into the 13:00-16:00 range through the middle miles before mile 11 slowed to 19:33, the race's toughest stretch. He rallied over the final two miles, picking the pace back up to close in the 17-minute range. Esqueda's steady effort through downtown Boulder brought him to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting cap to a race in a city sitting over 5,000 feet in elevation.
