Steady Pacing, Slightly Off Peak Form Garret Lee finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:10:50, placing 9th overall and 9th among men in a field of 7,223. That trails his 2024 result of 1:08:54 (4th overall) and his 2025 time of 1:08:05 (3rd overall), marking his slowest Boulderthon half to date. His pace held remarkably even through the race, hovering between 5:18 and 5:26 per mile from mile two through mile ten before a slight late-race dip near 5:30. His fastest mile came right out of the gate, a 5:05 opening split that set the tone before settling into rhythm. Running this years redesigned half course, with net elevation gain trimmed nearly in half to 203 feet, Lees pacing stayed disciplined at Boulders altitude of over 5,000 feet, a solid foundation to build back toward his sub-1:09 form.
