Steady Sub-6 Pace Powers Top-20 Finish Jeremy Cavallo ran 1:15:31 in the half marathon, placing 18th overall and 18th among men in a field of 7,223. Cavallo went out fast, covering the first six miles between 5:33 and 5:44 per mile and building a strong cumulative pace of 5:39 by mile six. Miles seven and eight cost him some ground, slipping to 5:53 and 6:00, before he steadied back down, closing miles nine through thirteen in the 5:415:57 range to finish with consistent 5:45 pacing overall. That opening six-mile stretch stands as the clear highlight of the race. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, and on a 2026 half marathon course with net elevation gain cut nearly in half to 203 feet, Cavallo's pacing held remarkably firm from start to finish.
