Steady Pacing Powers Strong Half Marathon Finish Case Brennan finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:35:41, averaging 7:18 per mile through downtown Boulder. Brennan's race stayed remarkably even, opening with a 7:31 first mile before settling into a rhythm between 7:10 and 7:23 for most of the middle miles. Miles 7 through 9 saw a slight dip into the 7:30-7:42 range, but he answered with his fastest mile of the race in the final stretch, closing with a 6:54 twelfth-to-thirteenth mile split. That late surge, coming after covering the half marathon's modest elevation profile, reflects strong finishing strength and well-managed effort across the distance.
