Fast Start, Steady Finish Fuels Top-20 Finish Antonio Flores crossed the line in 1:15:50, good for 19th overall and 19th among men in the half marathon, out of a field of 7,223. He opened with the race's fastest mile, a 5:27, and held sub-5:40 pace through the first six miles before easing slightly into the second half, closing at a 5:47 min/mile average. Flores ran his strongest sustained stretch over the opening 6 miles, averaging 5:35 min/mile, building an early cushion he carried to the finish. He passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5 in the middle of a steady closing sequence, holding form as he moved through Boulder's 5,000-plus feet of elevation toward the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
