Strong Start, Steady Fade Over 13.1 Miles Macy Mccauley finished the half marathon in 2:28:02. Her opening miles were her strongest: she covered the first six miles in roughly 62:53, averaging close to 10:28 per mile, before pace eased through the middle miles and slowed further over the closing stretch, finishing at an overall 11:18 min/mile average. That opening 10K, run at altitude in a city sitting above 5,000 feet, stands as the highlight of her race six consecutive miles within seconds of each other near 10:30 pace. The dip that followed lines up with the course's approach to the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, after which her per-mile pace loosened into the low-to-mid 12s and 13s before tightening again for the final mile into the Pearl Street Mall finish.
