Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jason Fletchall #26835 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Fast Opening Miles Can't Match 2024 Pace Jason Fletchall finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:36:27, a 7:21 mile/mile pace. That's off his 2024 Boulderthon half marathon result of 1:30:51 at 6:56 mile/mile pace. The race started strong: Fletchall covered the first six miles in 41:54, a 6:59 mile/mile pace, his best sustained stretch of the day. From there, the pace eased, with miles seven through nine slipping to the 7:447:50 range before settling back into the low 7:20s to finish. That early speed came on a 2026 half marathon course built with nearly 50% less climbing than before, a reminder that Boulder's altitude still shapes effort regardless of elevation gain. A more even split between the early and closing miles could help him carry that opening rhythm all the way to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
