Faster and Stronger: A Half Marathon PR in Boulder Carly Chavez Gomez finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:31:30, placing 157th overall and 25th among women in the field of 7,223. That's a clear improvement over her 2024 result of 1:34:13, shaving nearly three minutes off her time and moving up ten spots in the overall standings. Her pacing stayed remarkably steady through the first seven miles, holding between 6:51 and 6:58 per mile before a slight dip through miles 8 and 9. She responded well, closing with a strong mile 12 split of 6:40, her fastest of the race, before finishing at Boulder's Pearl Street Mall. Given Boulder's elevation over 5,000 feet, this was a well-managed effort from start to finish. If she's looking to build on this result, tightening up that middle stretch could offer even more room to negative split next time.
