Strong Closing Miles Power a Steady Half Marathon Finish Heather Loughridge crossed the line in 2:30:38. Her opening two miles were brisk, settling near a 10:37 pace, and the middle miles held a steadier cruising rhythm before she found another gear late. Her strongest stretch came in miles 11 through 13, where she covered that span in roughly 16 minutes a marked pickup from her earlier pacing and the fastest sustained running of her race. That final surge carried her onto the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, where the half marathon course concludes after winding through Boulder County backroads. Finishing in a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, closing with her quickest miles on the course is a strong sign of well-managed effort.
