Steady Miles Build to a Strong Finishing Kick Peyton Snopek completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:57:50, holding an even effort through the first ten miles before closing with his fastest running of the race. Miles 12 and 13 came in at 8:31 and 8:26, well under his overall average pace of 8:59 min/mile, showing a well-judged final push through downtown Boulder toward the Pearl Street Mall finish. The race unfolded with remarkable consistency, as his mile splits hovered between 8:50 and 9:22 for most of the course before that late acceleration. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, maintaining such an even pace before finding another gear late is a strong execution. Snopek might consider whether an even earlier surge could yield a faster overall time in a future race.
