Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jose Maciel #23475 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Start, Steady Finish in the Top 4% Overall Jose Maciel completed the half marathon in 1:36:20, placing 249th overall and 203rd among men in a field of 7,223. His pace stayed tight through the opening miles, holding in the low 7:10s before a natural dip through the middle miles brought him into the 7:20-7:40 range. He closed with a strong final mile at 7:08, matching his fastest full-mile split of the race a mile 4 clocking of 7:07 and showing he had plenty left for the stretch into the Pearl Street Mall finish. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, Jose's ability to close near his opening pace reflects well-managed effort across the second half of the course.
