Strong Start Carries Him Into the Top 10% Hayden Thomas finished the Half Marathon at the 2026 Boulderthon in 1:49:09, an 8:19/mile pace, placing 720th overall and 523rd among men out of the field of 7,223. Thomas opened with his sharpest running of the day, covering miles 1-4 at roughly an 8:02/mile pace before easing slightly through the middle miles, dipping to a 9:03 split at mile 11. He tightened back up over the final two miles to close in 8:33 and 8:28, finishing on the Pearl Street Mall. Around mile 9, near where the course passes the lululemon Power-Up Zone, he was holding an 8:11 cumulative pace a solid position from which to manage the back half at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet.
