Steady Pace Powers a Strong Half Marathon Finish Devon Winkles ran a consistent race at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, crossing the line in 1:45:40, an 8:03 min/mile pace. She finished 11th in the Female 40-44 division. Winkles opened with her fastest mile of the day, a 7:39 first mile, then settled into a rhythm mostly between 7:55 and 8:15 through the middle miles. Her cumulative pace held remarkably steady, hovering right around 8:00 min/mile from mile 4 through mile 10. A brief dip to 8:45 in mile 11 was followed by her strongest recovery of the race, a 7:45 twelfth mile, showing good composure late in the effort. Given that the half course runs out past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, and that Boulder itself sits above 5,000 feet, this even-effort pacing stands out as the highlight of her race.
