Steady Pacing Delivers a Strong Finishing Mile Henry Morgan completed the half marathon in 2:00:39, an average pace of 9:12 per mile. His cumulative pace crept from 9:02 through the opening mile to a high of 9:31 by mile three, then steadily tightened over the second half of the course, closing at 9:13 by the finish. That trend reflects a race that got stronger as it went, with the closing stretch standing out: mile 13 was his fastest full mile of the day at 8:22, a strong final push into downtown Boulder. Morgan's race concluded on the historic Pearl Street Mall, a finish shared by every distance in the event, at an elevation over 5,000 feet.
