His race built steadily: after opening miles in the 8:429:16 range, he found rhythm through the middle miles, holding 8:088:30 pace from mile five onward. The final three miles stood out as his strongest stretch, covering 11 through 13 in roughly 7:297:45 pace each, a clear surge that carried him to the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, that late push reflects well-paced effort management across the second half of the course. With no prior Boulderthon result on record, this run establishes a strong baseline, particularly the composed, negative-split finish through the closing miles into downtown Boulder.
