Fast Start Fuels Top-Bracket Half Marathon Finish Ryan Damico finished the half marathon in 1:37:00, placing 269th overall and 222nd among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon. His race showed a strong front half: the first six miles clicked by in 41:17, a 6:52 average pace, before the effort eased through miles 7 and 8 near 8:00 pace. He steadied over the closing miles, holding 7:22 elapsed pace through the finish with matching 7:28 splits in miles 12 and 13. That opening six-mile stretch stood out as the fastest sustained running of his race, a solid platform given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet. With his base speed clearly intact, working on maintaining that early rhythm a bit longer could be a rewarding focus for his next half marathon.
