Steady Miles Anchor a Consistent Half Aden Faris finished the half marathon in 1:53:15, an 8:38 min/mile pace across the 13.1 miles. His race held a steady rhythm through the middle miles, with mile 6 standing as his fastest of the day at 8:15, part of a strong stretch from miles 6 through 9 that held tightly in the 8:298:37 range. A brief fade to 9:21 at mile 11 was followed by a solid rebound to 8:32 the next mile, closing out with control over the final stretch into downtown Boulder. That mile 9 push came right around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5 of the half course. With Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, holding pace that tightly through the back half of the race reflects well on his pacing discipline for a course that starts and finishes on the Pearl Street Mall.
