Fastest Boulderthon Half Yet Despite a Mid-Race Dip Kurtis Startt ran 1:37:43 to finish 287th overall and 234th among men, placing in the top 5% of the field. That's his quickest of three Boulderthon half marathons, improving on 1:39:54 in 2025 and 1:46:46 in 2024. His first six miles were the strongest stretch of the race, clicking off between 7:10 and 7:18 and building a cumulative pace of 7:12 min/mile. Miles 7 through 11 slipped into the 7:33-8:01 range before he tightened back to 7:26 for mile 12. That early pace came on a half marathon course trimmed to 203 feet of net gain for 2026, down from 384 feet previously, at Boulder's mile-high altitude.
