Steady Start Fuels a Determined Finish on the Pearl Street Mall Sharon Hirschowitz completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:24:14, an 11:00 min/mile pace, out of a field of 7,223. Her opening mile came in at 9:43, and she held sub-10:00 pace through the first three miles before settling into a steady climb in effort, mile by mile, as the race progressed. Miles 1 through 3 were her strongest stretch, with a combined pace of 9:56 min/mile, showing a strong, controlled start. The middle and later miles saw a gradual increase in per-mile times, reflecting the steady demands of the back half of the course. Hirschowitz finished with composure, maintaining focus over the closing miles into downtown Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, to complete the historic Pearl Street Mall finish.
