Strong Start Fuels a Big Half-Marathon Improvement Garrett Glover finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:46:48, more than five minutes faster than his 1:52:07 at the same event in 2025. His pace held steady through the middle miles before tightening again over the closing mile, a sign of well-managed effort across the back half. The opening six miles were his best stretch, covering that ground in 46:00 for a 7:40 average per mile, well under his overall race pace. Miles 7 through 11 eased into the 8:20-9:15 range before he closed strong, dropping to 7:48 for mile 13. Racing at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet above sea level, that final surge stands out as a strong finish to a well-paced effort.
