Steady Pace Through the First Half, Gradual Fade Down the Stretch Nick Monroy finished the half marathon in 2:26:36, opening with his fastest mile of the day at 9:47 before settling into a steadier rhythm. From there his per-mile pace eased gradually, moving from the 10:20s through the low 11:00s by the finish, a pattern of a strong start followed by a controlled, gradual slowdown rather than a dramatic fade. Miles 8 through 10 marked a brief return to form, holding in the 10:5911:47 range after a rougher mile 7. That stretch fell right around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, offering a lift as the course pushed toward the closing miles. Monroy crossed the line on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting finish at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
