Strong Opening Miles Anchor a Steady Half Marathon Finish Kshitij Sharma completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:24:51. He opened briskly, covering the first five miles in 49:45, an average pace under 10:00 per mile, before a slower sixth mile brought his overall cumulative pace to 12:12. From there, Sharma settled into a rhythm between 9:29 and 10:37 per mile through the remainder of the course, finishing his final mile in 10:14 and closing with an overall pace of 11:03 per mile. Sharma's fastest sustained stretch came early, miles 3 through 5, where he averaged under 9:45 per mile. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds a layer of difficulty to that kind of early pace. The course's finish along the Pearl Street Mall capped a race in which Sharma showed his best legs before the halfway point.
