Strong Finishing Kick Fuels Steady Half Marathon Eabha O'Mahony completed the half marathon in 1:57:09, an 8:56 min/mile pace overall. After an opening mile of 10:28, O'Mahony settled into a consistent rhythm through the middle miles, holding between 8:47 and 9:24 pace from miles 2 through 10. The final three miles brought a clear surge 8:12, 8:11, and 7:59 making that closing stretch the fastest of the race and carrying her onto the Pearl Street Mall finish in downtown Boulder. That negative-split finish, dropping nearly a full minute per mile off her early pace, reflects well-managed effort given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet.
