Fast Early Miles Set the Tone for a Steady Finish Lucille Marret completed the half marathon in 2:45:18, an average pace of 12:37 per mile. Her race opened briskly: the first five miles clicked by in 53:14, an average of roughly 10:39 per mile, the strongest stretch of her day. After that, pace settled into the 11:0013:39 range for the remaining miles, holding steady rather than fading sharply as the race wore on. That opening five-mile surge stands out as the clear highlight of her effort, built on a course that, like all of Boulder, sits above 5,000 feet of elevation a useful bit of context for any pace run there.
