Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Lauren Wiggers #24398 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Fast Start Fuels a Steady Finish Lauren Wiggers completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:04:30, an overall pace of 10:24 per mile. Her opening mile was her fastest of the race at 6:30, and she held a sub-9:00 cumulative pace through the first two miles before settling into a steadier rhythm over the back half. Mile three was her standout stretch, covered in 10:03, close to her eventual overall pace and a sign of consistent effort as the race wore on. With Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, that early speed made for a demanding test over the remaining miles. Wiggers may find that distributing her early effort more evenly could help sustain that quick opening pace deeper into future races.
