Strong Closing Miles Power a Steady Half Marathon Lauren Fajardo finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:43:50, an average pace of 7:55 per mile. Her race settled into a rhythm through the first six miles in the high 7:30s to low 7:50s, eased slightly through miles 7 through 11 in the 8:06-8:16 range, then sharpened again over the final two miles, closing in 7:38 and 7:21. That last stretch, miles 12 and 13, was the fastest sustained mile-plus segment of her race, nearly 30 seconds per mile quicker than her mid-race miles. Given that Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, finishing strong at that altitude reflects well-managed effort across the full 13.1 miles.
