Strong Closing Miles Seal a Top-10% Finish Shekinah Eliassen, 48, of Boulder, ran the half marathon in 1:48:12, placing 676th overall and 176th among women a top-10% finish in a field of 7,223. Her early miles were the fastest of the day, opening in 7:59 and holding in the 8:058:16 range through the first six miles. A stretch from miles 7 through 9 eased to the 8:268:35 range, the softest patch of her race, before she reeled things back in. Miles 11 through 13 were her most consistent stretch, locking into 8:12 pace each mile to close things out. That finish came on the historic Pearl Street Mall, capping a half marathon run at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet.
