Strong Closing Miles Power a Top-Tier Half Neely Gracey finished the half marathon in 1:17:22, placing 25th overall and 3rd among women, with a 3rd-place age-group finish. That mark trails her 2023 result of 1:14:53, when she ran to 2nd in her gender field. Her pace held steady through the opening ten miles, hovering between 5:49 and 6:13 per mile with an even cumulative pace near 5:56. The final three miles proved her strongest stretch, dropping to a 5:38 split at mile 12 and closing with 5:44 to the finish a clear surge that pulled her elapsed pace back down to 5:54 by the end. That late push, capped by a finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, showed strong closing strength worth building on for an even faster start next time.
