Steady Pacing Carries Strong Finish Alexis Luna completed the half marathon in 1:52:21, an 8:34/mile pace, finishing 947th overall and 663rd among men in a field of 7,223. Luna's mile splits stayed tightly bunched through the middle miles, rarely drifting beyond the 8:208:50 range, before he closed with his fastest full mile of the race, an 8:06 stretch to the finish. That late surge came after passing near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5, and it reflects well on his pacing discipline at altitude in Boulder, which sits above 5,000 feet. A minor dip through miles 23 was the only real fluctuation in an otherwise well-controlled effort.
