Steady Pacing Powers a Top-Tier Half Finish David Marino ran 1:26:15 to finish 88th overall and 77th among men in the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. That mark improves on his 2025 result of 1:31:05, though it trails his 2023 (1:18:00) and 2024 (1:25:21) times on this same course. His pacing stayed remarkably tight for the first ten miles, hovering between 6:16 and 6:51 per mile, before a 7:01 eleventh mile briefly slowed his rhythm. He answered immediately with a 6:13 twelfth mile, the fastest full mile of his race, before closing in 6:24 to the finish. That surge through miles 12 and 13 pulled his overall pace back down to 6:35 per mile by the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Marino's ability to recover pace late in the race stands out as the highlight of this performance.
