Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Maria Goergen #21034 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pace Through Midrace, Strong Kick Over Final Miles Maria Goergen finished the half marathon in 2:04:14, an average pace of 9:29 per mile. Her early miles held between 9:27 and 9:44, then eased slightly through the middle of the course before tightening again in the second half. The closing stretch was her best: miles 11 through 13 averaged roughly 8:44 per mile, well under her overall pace, with mile 12 clocking 8:26. That pickup began just after the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, where her pace sharpened from 10:08 to 9:29 and kept climbing through the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, closing that strong shows good control of effort across the back half of the race.
