Steady Pacing Splits the Difference Between Two Prior Boulderthons Alejandro Garzon finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:38:29, sliding between his two previous results at this race faster than his 2024 mark of 1:39:11, though off his 2025 time of 1:37:05. His cumulative pace held in a tight band all day, opening at 7:27 and never drifting far from the 7:30 mark, closing at an elapsed pace of 7:30 min/mile. His strongest stretch came across miles 3 and 4, where he clicked off 7:19 and 7:16, his fastest miles of the race, before easing back into the high 7:30s and 7:40s through the middle miles. He rallied again late, running mile 12 in 7:22 to close things out. That consistency came on a half marathon course trimmed to roughly 203 feet of net elevation gain this year, down from 384 feet previously a shift that suited his even effort through downtown Boulder's finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
