Steady Half Marathon Pace Lands a Podium Age-Group Spot Samantha Funk finished the half marathon in 1:33:38, placing 194th overall out of the field of 7,223 and 35th among women, third in her 40-44 division. That mark builds on her 2025 Boulderthon 10K, where she averaged 7:01 min/mile this year she nearly matched that speed at 7:08 min/mile across more than double the distance. Her mile splits stayed remarkably even, ranging from 7:05 to 7:26 through the first eleven miles, showing little variation across the race. She then found her best stretch late, clocking 6:40 for mile 12 her fastest mile of the day before settling to 7:00 to close things out. That kind of finishing surge, run at altitude in a city sitting above 5,000 feet, speaks to well-managed effort from start to finish.
