Steady Pace Through Five Miles Before a Late Fade John Kadlic finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:37, compared with 59:52 in 2024. His pace held firm through the first five miles, settling between 9:21 and 9:58 per mile, before the final mile slowed to 12:14, pulling his overall elapsed pace to 10:06 per mile. The opening three miles were his strongest stretch, covered at a 9:27 per mile pace and building a solid foundation for the race. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Kadlic could look to carry that early rhythm further into the back half next time, particularly as the 10K starts later in the morning at 8:10 AM.
