Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jesus Murillo Lum #30126 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Faster Finish, Sharper Pace Drop Jesus Murillo Lum finished the 10K in 49:33, placing 153rd overall (108th among men) out of the field of 3,071. That's a solid jump from his 52:43 in the 2025 Boulderthon 10K, shaving over three minutes off his time. His race started strong, with a 7:10 opening mile that was his fastest of the day, before pace settled into the 7:30-7:50 range through the middle miles. The final mile slowed to 9:05, the one stretch where he lost the most time relative to his early rhythm. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that early pace was well managed before the late fade. With this course finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, Jesus might consider holding a touch more in reserve for the last mile next time.
