A Strong Mid-Race Surge Powers a Steady 10K Hayley Henderson finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 57:52, averaging 9:20 per mile. Her race built steadily through the middle miles before a demanding final stretch: after opening in 9:21, she settled into a rhythm through miles two and three, then found her best form in mile five, clocking 8:43, her fastest mile of the day. That surge followed a slight dip in mile four and preceded a tougher closing mile, where her pace eased to 10:11 as she worked toward the line. Henderson's race unfolded at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder, a factor worth noting given the strength of that mid-race mile. She capped things off with a finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall, a fitting close to a race defined by a well-timed push through its heart.
