Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Vinny Medeiros #30227 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Through the Back Half Vinny Medeiros covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 53:08, an 8:34 per mile average. He went out briskly, clocking 7:34 for the opening mile, then settled into a steadier rhythm before easing further as the race progressed, closing with a 10:07 final mile into the finish. That opening mile stands out as the fastest mile-plus stretch of his race, nearly a full minute quicker than his closing mile. Medeiros crossed the line on the Pearl Street Mall, a finish shared by every distance in the event. Running the 10K, which started at 8:10 AM, he tackled the course at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet. Given the early pace he showed in that first mile, there may be room to explore a more even split next time out, letting that early speed carry further into the back half.
