Strong Start Fuels a Steady 10K Finish Zayden Jackson completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 59:23, a race built on an aggressive opening and a resilient close. His first two miles were the fastest of the day, clocking 8:07 and 7:56, before the pace gradually eased through the middle miles as the effort settled in. That early speed banked enough time to carry a strong overall rhythm across the full 6.2 miles. The middle stretch from mile 2 to mile 5 showed a steady, controlled decline in pace, moving from 9:02 to 9:58 per mile, reflecting a tough but consistent effort through the heart of the course. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, holding that composure across the back half is a solid foundation.
