Strong Pace Through the Field, Even Stronger Finish Position Kristin Hirsch placed 126th overall and 37th among women in the 2026 Boulderthon 10K, finishing in 48:22 a result inside the top 10% of a 3,071-strong field. Her race built steadily: after a 7:45 opening mile, she found her rhythm with a 7:18 second mile, the fastest stretch of her day, before settling into splits between 7:35 and 7:47 through mile five. The final mile eased to 8:36 as she carried her effort to the line. Hirsch's race unfolded at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, before closing on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Her early-race surge suggests she had another gear worth testing over a longer opening stretch next time.
