Strong Start Fuels a Top-10% Finish Phebe Chen crossed the line in 52:51, good for 258th overall and 89th among women in a field of 3,071 at the 2026 Boulderthon 10K. That marks a pace improvement over her 2025 Half Marathon here, where she ran 8:59 per mile compared to 8:31 this time out. Chen went out fast, clocking 7:59 for her opening mile before settling into the 8:108:25 range through mile three. A dip to 8:56 in the fourth mile was followed by a strong reboundher 8:09 fifth mile was the fastest sustained stretch after the opening mile, showing good recovery before the finishing stretch. She closed the race on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting downtown finish at over 5,000 feet of altitude.
