Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Victor Lineros #30732 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Nearly 15 Minutes Faster: A Big Step Forward at 10K Victor Lineros finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:04:24, a sharp improvement from his 1:19:08 finish in the 2025 edition of the race nearly 15 minutes faster this time around. His pacing stayed remarkably even through the first four miles, holding between 10:19 and 10:26 per mile, before he found another gear in mile five, clocking his fastest split of the race at 9:49. That surge briefly pushed him into the race's upper half by placement before a mile six settle-in at 11:03 brought him home. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Victor's consistency across the middle miles set up that strong fifth-mile push. Building on that pacing discipline could help him carry the effort a bit longer next time.
