Brzowski's early miles settled into a tight band between 9:44 and 10:05, showing disciplined pacing through the race's midsection. His fifth mile stood out as the day's high point, a clear surge that pushed his cumulative pace back under 9:52 per mile. The closing mile brought a natural settling of pace before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting cap to a race run at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet. Given the strength shown in that fifth mile, Brzowski might consider working toward sustaining that effort deeper into future races.
