Steady Pace Through the Front Half Fuels a Solid 10K Finish Giovanni Evans finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 48:17, an average pace of 7:47 per mile, placing 10th in the M20-24 division. Evans ran his first three miles between 7:26 and 7:33, holding tight, consistent pacing through the opening 5K. The fourth mile brought a slight dip to 8:05 before he rebounded with a 7:34 fifth mile, his fastest full-mile stretch after the opening surge. The closing mile eased to 8:39 as cumulative pace settled at 7:47, a modest fade after a well-controlled middle stretch. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, Evans' ability to hold sub-7:35 pace through five miles reflects strong pacing discipline before the finish.
